EPCA have completed the transformation of Munro Court, Glasgow on behalf of Pheonix Futures. Pheonix are a charity and housing association which has been helping people overcome drug and alcohol problems for 50 years, providing residential, prison, community and specialist services. The project brief was to refurbish Munro Court to become the new Scottish Residential Service for the charity, providing single bedrooms with accessible en-suite wet rooms and a range of therapeutic & activity spaces. The client wanted a fully accessible building, and facilities to reflect the needs and wants of their service users. High standards of design were required to show how respected the people are that come to the service for help. Ultimately, the client brief required service users to feel at home, and to be part of a wider community like anyone in society.
