Working with Union Projects, EPCA have completed the Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveys for an exciting development project in Edinburgh. Union have recently been awarded the full Design & Build Main Contract to transform 19 disused railway arches in the centre of Edinburgh into brand new retail space forming one part of the massive £150M New Waverley development. The arches were constructed in 1785, over 200 years ago. Our Refurbishment and fit-out team have been tasked with excavating out the vaults, casting new concrete slabs and installing a complete damp proofing system. The overall works involve the installation of aluminium shopfronts, mezzanine floors, full utilities installation, underfloor heating, ceramic floor installation, wall linings and the creation of a communal WC area.
