The University of the West of Scotland is Scotland’s largest modern university, and aims to have a transformational influence on the economic, social and cultural development of the West of Scotland and beyond. The university operates from campuses in Ayr, Dumfries, Hamilton and Paisley. The project related to the Paisley campus only. EPCA have worked across the University campuses since 2013, providing a range of asbestos related services including Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveys for specific projects. In 2016 we embarked on a complete Management Asbestos Survey for the whole UWS Paisley campus, extending to 17 buildings. This was followed up in 2017 with a re-inspection of the original survey. We have collaborated with the client to input the survey information into their cloud based facilities management software. Our services included: Full non-invasive inspection of all buildings on the UWS Paisley campus, to Management Asbestos Survey standard in accordance with HSG 264 Incorporation of data from previous surveys, eg R&D Asbestos Surveys for previous projects, to provide a single source of knowledge on asbestos for the Campus Data input into the client's Archibus cloud based facilities management software package
